... Sleep Rugby ... Think Rugby ... Play Rugby ...

My piece of the web

Ok where to start - hmmmm. My name is David Treacy and I'm 21 born up in Dublin on 27/11/1977 and some unearthly hour of the morning. So if your into the whole star sign thing that makes me a Sagittarius.

I'm Irish, as you may have gathered from the fact that I was born in Dublin ... I'm a quite outgoing person I hope. I'm also a big sports fan and will watch almost any sport except cricket and one or two other sports (in general if there is a ball or an engine involved in it - I love it). I particularly love contact sports and am a bit of a 'Ruggerbugger'. I play for a club near my home in the Irish midlands I represent the clubs Junior 2nds & 3rds ... we rarely win anything be it matches or trophies but we have great craic in doing so.
To look at me you would see me as the typical Rugby player as my friends will agree, namely that I'm small and of a slim build. Not really what a Rugby player should look like ... you know about 6" tall, built like a tank with about 3 days stubble, a few missing teeth and his own unique smell *lol*. All in all I think I'm a fairly average player, I came to that conclusion because if I wasn't I would probably have been killed by one of the typical rugby players that I have come up against in matches. My position is in general winger but I'm generally regarded as a utility back as I can play almost any position in the backs to varying levels of success. I started playing Rugby at schools level when I was 12 and since then of the 15 positions on the team I have played all except for 4. My rugby claim to fame was that I captained an Under 14 side for my school school *s*.
I'm also a member of my colleges (Institute of Technology Carlow) rugby team at the moment we are in the semi-final of the colleges Ascent Shield competition.
When I ain't playing with leather balls and actually attend my college lectures I'm studying for my Cert. in Computer Applications, I'm in my final year (second) even though its taken 3 years to get here.

Aside of running around the rugby field in my spare time I enjoy socialising with my mates around home Darren, Graham & Billy down the pub or the mates from college Ste {impressive web page makes mine look harmless - bastard well worth a visit},Al, Lisa, Irene, Diane, Aly, Frank, Staunton, DOD, Spook, Sheeners and of course the college rugby team and all the others that I forgot to mention...or was too lazy to type!!. I enjoy going clubbin' and listening to music although my CD collection is pretty small. My collection ranges from Bob Marley to Christy Moore (who as you can see from the text is my favourite artist) along with a few other Dance compilations and a few dance tapes thrown together by a mate from college.
